New Link for E-Books and Audio Books

We have a new link for e-books and audio books! Go to http://monmouth.lib.overdrive.com. Use your library card to download free books to your computer, Nook, Kindle, iPad or Iphone. Put your library card number in your phone contacts so you have it handy. If you have any problems or questions, give us a call!

Brielle Public Library Wins NJ State Library Grant for Music

The Brielle Public Library recently won a $575.00 "Enrich the Music Collection" grant from the New Jersey State Library. We have started our collection by ordering a variety of children's music, Broadway shows, and movie soundtracks. We hope to continue adding music each month. Recommendations welcome!

Annual Appeal Time is Here

This is the time of year when we reflect on the diverse programs and progress that your generous donations to the library have made possible. The following is a sample of the library’s accomplishments for 2011:

In the past three years, circulation and patron usage have nearly tripled.
The recently renovated, comfortably spaced foyer now encompasses new furniture, flooring and more private computers.
The Brielle Library was voted Best Library in Monmouth County in the Asbury Park Press Best of the Best Readers' Poll for 2011.

Library Welcomes New Members to the Board of Trustees

We would like to announce the selection of our two new Board of Trustees members, Linda Chappa and Gene Miller. Welcome to the team!

Brielle Public Library Awarded Best of the Best Public Library in the Asbury Park Press Readers' Choice Contest

We are proud to announce that the Brielle Public Library was voted Best of the Best Public Library in the 2011 Asbury Park Press Readers' Choice Contest. Thank you to all of our patrons for your support! We will celebrate our 90th Birthday in the coming year. Please stay tuned for details.

Brielle Public Library and Brielle Elementary School Unite Against Hunger

Due to the generosity of Brielle Library patrons and local residents, the Brielle Public Library and children from Brielle Elementary School's 8th Grade Integrated Curriculum classes recently donated over 400 pounds of food to the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Thank you to all participants, and please remember our December holiday fine amnesty food drive!

Introducing Our New Museum Voucher Program

The Brielle Public Library is pleased to introduce our Museum Voucher Program. Library members may now check-out a museum voucher good for complimentary general admission and more for two adults and up to four children at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Upcoming Programs

Lower Back Pain and Exercise Seminar

Is your exercise program hurting your lower back? On Thursday, February 9, at 6:30 pm, Jon Messner, a noted personal trainer and owner of Jon Messner Performance, will offer a free seminar on the proper exercise protocol for individuals suffering from lower back pain.

Better Bodies Class

Join fitness trainer Calvin Thompson for personal body strength training classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Only a towel is required. Classes are $15.00 each.

Children's Storytime

Every Tuesday and Thursday. Please view our calendar for details.

Crochet and Chat

Want to expand your knowledge or share your crocheting expertise with a great group of people? Join Crochet and Chat! The group meets every Thursday at 1:00 in the library meeting room.

Yoga & Pilates Classes

Enjoy classes with the best instructors in the area. All classes are scheduled to accommodate your busy lifestyle, and are open to all levels of experience.

Pilates classes run 60 minutes.
Yoga classes run 75 minutes.
